Printed circuit board modules that plug into motherboards or backplanes are common. Sometimes flexboards are used to make these connections. Inter-PCB connections are often a significant source of radiated EMI. Missouri S&T has developed a design tool to anticipate EMI associated with these connections. The tool has been validated experimentally in the 10 MHz - 5 GHz frequency range.
